Some foods are polarizing when it comes to personal taste. In our family we have some members who would like one thing that another hated, and vice versa. Corn was always one of my favorite vegetables, but for my brother he gagged at the thought of it. Same goes for my mum's famous tomato and corn soup. Oddly I'm not a huge fan of the mixture, but my parents absolutely love it. I do know there are different takes on the recipe, and depending on how complicated you want it you can add other things like onions into the mix to make it more flavorful. Below you'll find my family's personal recipe for simple tomato and corn soup. Be sure to let me know how you liked it if you give it a try.
RECIPE:
- 15 oz. Canned Diced Tomatoes
- 15 oz. Canned Cream Corn
- 1 cup low fat milk
- Salt & Pepper
OPTIONAL:
- 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
- Onions
*Mix Ingredients And Boil In a Pot. Bringing It To A Boil, and Letting It Cool A Little Before Adding Salt & Pepper. If You Decide To Add Garlic Cloves or Onions Prepare Them Before Adding the Other Ingredients By Heating Them In Olive Oil Beforehand.*
